The 23rd International Conference
Age Management SALON 2026
6 May 2026
Hotel Tatra, Bratislava
Age management is a way of managing people with regard to their age, which takes into account: the course of a person’s life stages during their working life, their changing motivation, competencies, values, health and attitudes.
Organizational management should recognize and embrace these changes by adapting the work environment, support systems, and conditions for employees. Rather than waiting until employees reach retirement, organizations should proactively prepare for an aging workforce. By implementing age management tools, employers can help staff maintain high performance and stay in good mental and physical health for as long as possible.
In cooperation with our partner, TREXIMA Bratislava, we are preparing the 23rd International Age Management SALON conference. The event will also feature the final conference of the international IntegrAGE project, in which we serve as an associate strategic partner.
We will present the project’s key results, outputs, and practical recommendations for age management and the support of active aging in the workplace.

We will discuss her career and what she does to stay in shape.
As part of the accompanying conference program, the team of the Physical Activity Center of the BMC SAS offers participants professional diagnostics of functional fitness and cognitive health, including body composition analysis, objectification of physical performance in the form of motor tests (standing up from a chair for a time, manual dynamometry) and digital screening of memory functions and reaction time using a short computer test Memtrax.

When the Age is not the Only Limitation
Ing. Monika Fričová, CEO, Platform of Families of Children with Disabilities
She is a director of the Platform of Families of Children with Disabilities. She has been working in the field of disabilities for over 30 years. Her professional career was profoundly influenced by her personal experience of becoming the mother of a son with multiple disabilities. This life situation led her to become a voice for families facing systemic invisibility, isolation, and extreme stress. The Platform for Families, of which she was a co-founder in 2016, has provided free support to more than 4,100 families of children with disabilities to date. By advocating for families’ rights, she significantly contributes to positive systemic changes in access to education, healthcare, and social services in Slovakia. She leads a team of parents enriched by experience with multifaceted diversity, built on values and a commitment to addressing individual needs. Women who have found themselves on the margins of the labor market due to long-term caregiving for a loved one have the chance here to reclaim their own identity and lead a dignified life within the community. It is precisely on the topic of approaching vulnerable groups and onboarding people with changed work capacity or life situations that impose limitations on their full work performance that the Platform for Families has been collaborating with IKEA for several years. This partnership has yielded valuable insights and opened minds to the needs of employing people with specific needs.
We’ll discuss this with Renáta Szüllőová, Head of People and Culture at IKEA Slovakia.
